Overview In this role you will lead bridge design efforts within Colliers' Bridges & Structures team in Miami, driving technical design, data-driven analysis, and coordination across disciplines. You'll mentor junior staff and shape project standards, with exposure to high-impact highway, rail, and pedestrian bridge work. The position emphasizes client leadership, quality control, and construction-support activities to deliver durable, community-enhancing infrastructure. Responsibilities- Lead technical design and supervise assigned staff for bridge projects; develop work plans and coordinate across disciplines
- Perform calculations, modeling, design reviews, cost estimates, and develop construction documents
- Mentor staff and contribute to internal standards of practice
- Ensure quality through checks on design computations, CAD drawings, reports, and estimates
- Serve as client and contractor liaison; act as quality coordinator for discipline-led projects
- Assist in developing project narratives, scope, and fee for pursuits
- May participate in professional associations and present at conferences
- May stamp/sign drawings or serve as Engineer of Record for the project
Key requirements- 7+ years of professional bridge design engineering experience
- Florida PE license
- Bachelor's degree in civil engineering
- Proficiency with MicroStation and/or Civil3D (preferred)
- Ability to work independently and strong work ethic
- Knowledge of FDOT, AASHTO, AREMA design codes (plus)
