Responsibilities- Oversee monthly journal entries, balance sheet and P&L reconciliations
- Generate and analyze monthly financial statements and explain account fluctuations
- Manage monthly close process for the team and ensure general ledger accuracy
- Prepare and review account analyses for reporting purposes
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams (IT, A/R, A/P, FP&A, Procurement, Ops, Treasury, Consolidations)
- Provide training and supervision to accounting staff (up to 3-5 accountants)
- Ensure SOX 404 compliance through procedures and policies for timely reconciliations
- Support department heads with actual vs budget variances
- Handle special projects as assigned
Key requirements- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
- 8+ years in corporate or public accounting
- 2+ years of people management experience
- Strong analytical and reconciliation skills
- Experience with financial reporting and variance analysis
- Excellent verbal and written communication
- Proficiency with PC databases and spreadsheets
- Ability to work well in a high-performing team
- Experience with ORACLE ERP systems a plus
