Overview As a QC Chemist at Elanco in Clinton, you'll support the Quality Control team to ensure cGMP compliance, safety, and product quality. You will collaborate with manufacturing and technical services to solve problems, improve lab methods, and mentor technicians to drive improvements. You'll lead investigations into deviations, maintain validated analytical methods, and participate in Lean projects and inspection readiness. This role combines hands-on technical work with cross-functional collaboration to protect product quality and support Elanco's mission to enrich life through animals and people.

Responsibilities- Safeguard product safety and quality by adhering to SISPQ, procedures, regulatory commitments, and PPE requirements
- Lead deviations investigations, perform root cause analysis, and close investigations within 30 days
- Maintain validated analytical methods and develop protocols for investigations and validation
- Contribute to special projects to enhance safety and productivity through Lean initiatives and support inspection readiness
- Provide technical coaching and training to laboratory technicians to ensure proper methodology execution
Key requirements- Bachelor's degree in a scientific field or equivalent experience
- Knowledge of cGMP requirements and laboratory operations
- Strong quality mindset with attention to detail
- Proficiency in laboratory and business systems (SAP, Empower, OneLab, and Microsoft Office)
