Overview

Join Olsson's Industrial Environmental team as a Civil Engineer to help design solutions that improve communities. You will apply broad engineering knowledge to diverse assignments and supervise project staff, guiding new concepts and policy discussions. As project engineer, you coordinate design work, manage schedules and budgets, and communicate findings to clients. You collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver projects on time and within budget, while supporting proposals and client engagement. Responsibilities
  • Prepares planning and design documents in appropriate engineering discipline
  • Coordinates staff work and may supervise lower-level staff
  • Performs process design calculations, prepares cost estimates, and uses economic analyses
  • Develops project scope, schedule, budget, and progress reports
  • Coordinates projects with other Olsson teams; manages design tasks and client communications
  • Manages preparation of technical reports, memos, and summaries for clients and internal teams
  • Serves as project manager for projects and collaborates with multidisciplinary teams to meet deliverables
  • Assist with marketing / business development and prepare project proposals
Key requirements
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in civil or environmental engineering from an ABET-accredited institution
  • 5+ years of relevant civil or environmental engineering experience (civil/environmental design, solid waste facilities, environmental remediation, mining reclamation)
  • Must be a registered Professional Engineer
  • Proficiency with engineering tools, software, and methodologies
  • Strong working knowledge of Civil 3D and AutoCAD
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
