Overview In this Controller role at Westamerica Bank, you will prepare and consolidate financial reports, serving as the primary technical resource for financial analysis. You'll support financial planning, maintain data integrity, and enhance PC-based applications, contributing to accurate reporting and timely insights. You will work with cross-functional teams to resolve discrepancies and deliver ad hoc analyses and capital proposals. This is a hands-on position in a collaborative, service-oriented banking environment with a focus on reliable, compliant financial data and processes.
Responsibilities- Prepare and consolidate required financial reports using various systems
- Serve as primary technical resource for the assigned area of financial analysis
- Assist with special projects and financial plans
- Maintain data integrity across financial databases and upgrade PC-based applications; provide programming support
- Identify and resolve discrepancies in financial data
- Generate ad hoc reports and analyze capital proposals; support company projects
Key requirements- 1-2 years of financial analysis experience, preferably in a financial institution
- College-level coursework in financial analysis and accounting; Bachelor's degree a plus
- Proficiency with PC applications; strong spreadsheet and data management skills
- Working knowledge of SIMMS or similar mainframe/PC interface software a plus
