Overview As a Field Service Engineer in Anduril's Deployment Operations, you deploy and support our defense products worldwide, starting with early-stage systems and working with engineering to iteratively improve them. You will own technical solutions in challenging, unpredictable environments and mentor teammates as you master new systems. You guide users through product use and troubleshooting, and advise on operational setups to ensure success. This role combines hands-on field work with cross-functional collaboration to deliver reliable defense technologies at scale.

Responsibilities- Support military projects through technical operations, field maintenance, and customer training
- Resolve complex hardware, software, and networking issues in unstructured settings
- Communicate field issue status to internal and customer teams
- Develop and implement operational and logistical plans for events
- Ensure high availability and performance of defense systems
- Maintain hardware and software support plans
- Assist in event planning and resource allocation, keeping stakeholders informed
- Conduct RCAs for field incidents and implement preventive measures
- Perform post-incident reviews and maintain up-to-date documentation
Key requirements- 3+ years solving problems at the hardware-software-networking interface in unstructured environments
- Ability to climb towers to install, maintain, and repair sensor equipment (cameras, radars, PTUs)
- Strong mechanical aptitude for critical site infrastructure (generators, solar, hydraulics)
- Experience preventative maintenance on tower components (guy wires, anchors, lightning protection)
- Experience operating aerial lifts and forklifts
- Willingness to travel to remote regions up to two months at a time (50%+ of year)
- Ability to relocate to Costa Mesa, CA
- Eligible for U.S. Top Secret/Secret clearance
