Overview

As Controller, you will lead accounting and financial operations to deliver timely insights and strengthen performance for a wholesale distribution business. You will partner with cross-functional leaders to ensure accurate reporting, robust controls, and informed decision-making. You'll drive budgeting, forecasting, and profitability initiatives within an inventory-driven environment, shaping financial strategy and capital decisions. This role blends hands-on accounting expertise with strong leadership to scale finance operations and support company growth.

Responsibilities
  • Direct the preparation of monthly financial statements, internal management reports, and specialized analyses for leadership
  • Lead budgeting, forecasting, and variance review, translating results into actionable recommendations
  • Evaluate site-level financial performance and implement profitability-improving measures
  • Establish and maintain financial controls, policies, and procedures aligned with regulatory and company requirements
  • Oversee intercompany accounting, inventory valuation, cycle count review, and related variance analysis
  • Guide and develop the finance team with clear expectations and accountability culture
  • Coordinate audit support, serve as primary contact for external auditors, ensure timely audit responses
  • Support capital investment planning through financial modeling and business case development
  • Drive process improvement initiatives and manage finance-related projects for efficiency and accuracy
  • Support month-end close, balance sheet reconciliations, and system-based reporting using NetSuite, SAP, and advanced Excel
