Employment Law Compliance Specialist

Overview

In this role, you will conduct impartial investigations into employment law complaints and support the company's defense in related matters. You will work with legal, HR, and business leaders to analyze findings, create reports, and drive corrective actions to mitigate risk. You'll respond to agency charges, contribute to trend analyses, and support training on compliance topics. This position emphasizes thorough, timely investigations and cross functional collaboration to uphold equal employment opportunity principles. Responsibilities
  • Conduct impartial, thorough investigations of complaints across a wide range of protected characteristics
  • Prepare written investigative reports and summaries with supporting documentation
  • Respond to agency charges and support litigation when necessary
  • Draft Position Statements for external review
  • Present findings to discipline review committees and liaise with HR and Business Area leads
  • Support centralized tracking of investigations and external inquiries
  • Conduct legal trend research to inform risk assessments
  • Assist in training efforts on employment compliance topics
Key requirements
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Knowledge of investigation and research methods
  • Familiarity with federal, state, and local employment laws and court trends
  • Experience conducting employment law investigations
  • Ability to analyze information in relation to internal policies
  • Ability to travel as required
  • Experience drafting investigative reports and handling confidential information
