Market Development Manager

In this role you drive sales performance by leading wholesale partnerships across a defined territory. You'll align with the area GM to execute the business plan, optimize distributor networks, and ensure effective program execution. The position focuses on volume, distribution, pricing, and inventory health, with a strong emphasis on cross-functional collaboration and data-driven decision making. • Direct and develop a group of Wholesalers to implement Retail Vision and standards
• Design and deliver training and development for wholesalers
• Oversee point-of-sale materials aligned to budgets and market objectives
• Support national and regional accounts with program execution and distribution gaps
• Create annual and trimester plans for volume, distribution, and investment
• Conduct monthly business reviews with wholesalers on programs and opportunities
• Set pricing strategies and secure buy-in for changes
• Manage CTF budgets and communicate plans to wholesalers
• Coordinate new product rollouts with key accounts and wholesalers
• Identify and close performance gaps; develop action plans for volume initiatives
• Ensure wholesalers maintain adequate inventories and proper rotation
• Address supply chain issues and advise on corrective actions

• Bachelor degree or equivalent in the CPG business
• Minimum 3 years of consumer product sales and sales management experience
• Advanced Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and email (IBM Lotus Notes)
• Experience with Cognos 7/8 and Retail Vision reporting tools
• Ability to travel 30% of time (15% for Emerging Distributor MDM); valid driver's license
