Overview In this role you will lead month-end close, support cost and inventory analysis, and provide financial insights to support forecasting and decision-making. You will partner with cross-functional teams to improve processes, enhance controls, and ensure accurate reporting in line with US GAAP. You'll drive profitability analysis and continuous improvement initiatives, including system upgrades and an SAP implementation, to strengthen financial visibility.
Responsibilities- Lead month-end close activities with journal entries, reconciliations, and variance analysis
- Ensure general ledger accuracy per US GAAP and company policies
- Support inventory, cost, and manufacturing accounting, including standard cost variance
- Prepare and analyze P&L, balance sheet, and variance explanations
- Assist with forecasting, budgeting, and deviation analysis
- Support SOX documentation, testing, and internal controls
- Lead process improvement initiatives and assist with system implementations/upgrades
- Provide oversight for accounts payable/receivable and support order-to-cash for large international orders
- Collaborate with Operations and Supply Chain to resolve costing and profitability questions
- Contribute to SAP implementation and transition and use AI tools to improve reporting efficiency
Key requirements- Bachelor in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 3-6+ years of progressive accounting experience; manufacturing environment preferred
- Strong knowledge of general accounting, inventory/cost accounting, and financial analysis
- Experience with an integrated ERP system; SAP experience is a plus
- Strong Excel skills; ability to model large data sets
- Working knowledge of SOX controls and internal control frameworks
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Clear written and verbal communication skills with non-finance stakeholders
- CPA or progress toward CPA preferred
