Overview

As Head of Product Excellence, you own the 5-star standard across SharkNinja's new product development portfolio. You align Engineering, Product Development, and Marketing toward consumer first outcomes and in market performance. You lead a cross functional team to anticipate quality risks, drive improvements, and ensure launches meet rigorous standards. This role shapes how we scale delight across our NPD portfolio and elevate customer satisfaction. Your leadership fuels high impact, data driven decisions that sustain our 5 star promise.

Responsibilities
  • Own and direct the 5-star standard across the entire NPD portfolio, ensuring accountability among Engineering, Product Development, and Marketing.
  • Maintain portfolio visibility of quality risk and escalate to executives; decide launch readiness relative to the 5-star target.
  • Lead structured problem-solving to drive actionable improvements beyond flagging issues; mentor managers and analysts.
  • Set quality input standards for EB0 build reviews and scale Pre-MP VEGA Hacks to identify and resolve issues pre-production.
  • Oversee predictive modeling for in-market performance and translate consumer-validated results into prioritized engineering and marketing actions.
  • Coordinate safety, regulatory, and certification activities across markets; partner with labs to prevent blockers and ensure timely delivery.
  • Govern DFMEA quality ahead of TRA; ensure real-world consumer use is reflected in actions and drive closure of open DFMEA items.
Key requirements
  • 8+ years in product quality/development or related engineering/consumer insights, with leadership experience
  • Deep DFMEA expertise with a track record of elevating quality standards across an organization
  • Familiarity with safety testing, regulatory standards, and multi-market certification
  • Analytical and data-literate; able to translate IHUT data into engineering recommendations
  • Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders and manage multiple NPD programs simultaneously
