Overview As a Sr. Process Engineer, you help leading pharmaceutical and biologics projects across Concept to Detail design, delivering robust process solutions. You join the Architecture/Engineering Process Practice to partner with experts and drive high-quality, compliant systems for clients. You'll lead process engineering efforts on sterile manufacturing and unit operations, collaborating with manufacturing, facilities, QA and validation teams. Responsibilities- Support capital projects with a focus on process engineering and design
- Provide leadership to a process engineering team on life sciences projects
- Perform process mechanical design within an A&E environment across concept to detail phases
- Develop PFDs, energy/mass balances, cycle time and bottleneck analyses, equipment sizing, and BOM requirements
- Create P&IDs, orthographic/isometric drawings, and related construction documents
- Coordinate with OEMs/vendors for equipment sizing and selection
- Direct CAD designers and coordinate with controls/automation, utilities, and building systems
- Provide on-site support during testing, start-up, commissioning, and qualification
- Develop project scopes and assist in proposals for engineering/design services and constructed solutions
- Stay current with cGMPs and emerging technologies
- Foster client relationships and collaborate with cross-functional teams
Key requirements- Minimum 10 years of pharmaceutical and biologics process system engineering/design experience
- Knowledge of CIP/SIP, support equipment (washers, autoclaves, lyophilizers), and high purity water systems (WFI/RODI)
- Experience with FDA and EMA regulatory standards
- Familiarity with process control methodologies, control valves, and instrumentation
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency with AutoCAD (basic), Microsoft Office, and Microsoft Project (basic)
- Familiarity with 3D modeling, hydraulic analysis, and process simulation software (a plus)
- Willingness and ability to travel for project requirements
- BS in Chemical/Mechanical or Bio Engineering preferred (open to related engineering degrees)
