You will lead complex projects, mentor peers, and embed quality across engineering work. Responsibilities- Apply engineering principles across broad assignments and ensure customer expectations are met or exceeded
- Develop new approaches to complex problems and lead projects to advance technological capabilities
- Investigate technology and business trends to recommend best practices
- Evaluate and implement new technologies of significant scope and complexity
- Identify and procure new equipment and technology as needed
- Create documents such as protocols, reports, specifications, and work instructions
- Plan and develop engineering projects with high impact on major programs
- Lead cross-functional projects with moderate resources and influence others to meet goals
- Provide supervision to technicians/associate engineers and mentor junior staff
- Maintain relationships within and outside the site and deploy expertise across organizations
- Travel occasionally as required
- Embed quality in engineering work and support QMS adherence and corrective actions
- Support Manufacturing Excellence and Innovation strategies and deployment of systems and tools
- Champion problem solving, 5S, standard work, training, and certification programs
- Lead continuous improvement through system optimization and built-in quality principles
Key requirements- Bachelor in Engineering (minimum); Master/Doctorate preferred
- 7+ years of progressive engineering roles; or 15+ years with no degree
- Strong technical foundation with training in problem-solving and project management methodologies (6-Sigma green belt minimum, black belt preferred, 8D, RCA, 5-Why, Ishikawa, Kepner-Tregoe, PMP)
- Ability to analyze complex technical challenges and deliver breakthrough results
- Ability to work independently and with cross-functional teams
