Overview In this role you will translate business needs into design specifications and drive data warehousing initiatives using Teradata. You will coordinate with SMEs and stakeholders, manage timelines, and provide clear status updates. The role involves optimizing Teradata architectures and performing ETL-related activities while guiding cross-functional teams. You'll contribute to data-driven decision making and play a key part in shaping scalable solutions within IT services.
Responsibilities- Elicit and analyze requirements and convert them into design artifacts
- Coordinate with SMEs and stakeholders; manage timelines and escalation paths; provide on-time status updates
- Collaborate with teams to hand off designs and requirements efficiently
- Perform Teradata data warehousing tasks including optimization/tuning and architecture understanding
- Work with Teradata CLDM, Stored Procedures, BTEQ, and Teradata utilities for load/export
- Develop work estimates and contribute to resource and risk planning
- Utilize Unix shell scripting to support data operations and automation
Key requirements- At least 7 years of IT experience
- Strong Teradata expertise and architecture understanding
- Hands-on experience with Teradata CLDM and data warehousing best practices
- Experience with Stored Procedures, BTEQ, and Teradata utilities for load/export
- Proficiency in Unix shell scripting
