Overview

As Senior Product Director, you will lead a market-driven strategy for Transformers in the Utility sector across North America, aligning with Hitachi Energy's global aims. You will develop a market-based roadmap, coordinate with stakeholders, and drive orders, margin, and market share while boosting customer satisfaction. You'll collaborate across cross-industry networks to elevate the Transformers brand and improve sales efficiency in global markets. This role offers strategic influence in shaping growth and market leadership.

Responsibilities
  • Develops and implements a market-based sales approach (direct, third-party, project sales) and nurtures stakeholder relationships to convert opportunities into orders
  • Defines and coordinates all sales and marketing activities within the industry segment to improve product metrics
  • Identify and pursue upcoming projects aligning with growth objectives and industry advancements
  • Align sales and marketing efforts with an overarching strategy to boost market share, customer satisfaction, and revenue in chosen market segments
  • Collaborate with global cross-industry networks to drive Transformers brand growth across markets
  • Coordinate with key stakeholders to optimize sales efficiency and performance across global markets
  • Foster collaboration and guidance within teams to achieve targets and maintain positive team dynamics
  • Lead market research and analysis to inform strategy and identify customer needs and competitive landscape
  • Engage with customers and industry events to educate, inform, and solicit support for market opportunities
  • Support business initiatives across regions with field engagement and stakeholder interaction
Key requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering and/or Business
  • 10 years of professional experience in engineering, manufacturing and/or sales
  • Ability to inspire and guide teams toward targets
  • Willingness to travel up to 50%
  • Experience with transformer systems and/or power-related systems (preferred)
  • Experience leading within a matrix organization with multifunctional teams (preferred)
  • Strong market research and analysis skills (preferred)
  • Experience with Salesforce, SAP and Microsoft tools (preferred)
