Overview

In this Civil Engineer, PE role, you help shape capital projects for manufacturing clients, delivering site design, permitting, and environmental assessments. You'll work within the Architecture/Engineering Process Practice to partner with experts and clients, driving quality, compliance, and practical solutions. You'll tackle civil design challenges, manage sub-consultants, and contribute to project success with cross-functional teams. Responsibilities
  • Support capital projects and implement client solutions
  • Assist in site plan design for industrial facilities
  • Perform hydraulic calculations and prepare jurisdictional reports
  • Supervise design using AutoCAD Civil 3D and HydroCAD
  • Prepare and administer governmental site plan and environmental permits
  • Coordinate with civil consultants (geotech, surveying) and manage sub-consultants
  • Read land surveys, GIS maps, and environmental reports; assess site conditions
  • Develop project specifications and interface with cross-functional teams
  • Maintain awareness of codes and standards; ensure safe, compliant environments
  • Develop budgets, schedules, and progress reports for management
Key requirements
  • Minimum seven years of site design and engineering experience
  • Experience with permitting at multiple governmental levels
  • Industrial site design experience
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with clients and government staff
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D; Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Experience in hydraulic calculations, site design, and report writing
  • Ability to supervise staff and coordinate cross-functional teams
  • ABET-accredited BS in Civil Engineering; PE license required
  • Willingness to relocate to the local area and travel for project needs
  • Installation inspection experience
