Director of Continuous Improvement

Overview

In this role you will lead the site-wide continuous improvement transformation, partnering with the executive team to define strategy, governance, and operating cadence. You will establish a robust improvement system that aligns strategy with daily management and KPI ownership while driving safety, quality, delivery, and cost outcomes. You will lead cross-functional initiatives across manufacturing, quality, MSAT, and more to improve performance and customer outcomes. You will develop and deliver training in Lean, Six Sigma, and change management to sustain an organization-wide continuous improvement culture. Responsibilities
  • Set and execute the CI transformation strategy, governance model, and priorities with the Executive Leadership Team
  • Build and maintain a continuous improvement operating system with KPI ownership and visual performance tracking
  • Lead cross-functional transformation programs across multiple functions to improve safety, quality, delivery, cost, and resources
  • Translate strategic goals into improvement projects with measurable deliverables and value-based prioritisation
  • Develop CI KPIs and maintain dashboards and tier-level KPI reviews
  • Apply advanced problem-solving methods to reduce deviations and improve right-first-time, cycle time, capacity, and cost
  • Create and deliver structured CI training (Lean, Six Sigma, change management) across the organization
  • Establish governance, accountability, and behaviors to sustain results beyond individual projects
  • Collaborate with other FUJIFILM divisions to mature the management system
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Key requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field; advanced degree preferred
  • At least 10 years' experience leading operational excellence/CI
  • Experience leading transformation/CI in GMP manufacturing or similarly regulated environments (CDMO preferred)
  • Ability to operate as a senior leader with governance and cross-functional accountability
  • Proven experience building or maturing a management/operating system across functions
  • Lean Six Sigma Black Belt, Master Black Belt, Lean, or equivalent certification with practical results
  • Track record delivering measurable results through transformation (quality, delivery, productivity, cost, etc.)
