Overview As a Principal Engineer in Field Application Engineering, you enable customers to transform Infineon's products into cutting-edge designs while fostering long-term partnerships. You work closely with cross-functional teams to prepare demonstrations, support pre- and post-sales activities, and review customer hardware designs, contributing to scalable, high-performance automotive electronics solutions. This role blends deep technical leadership with customer-facing execution to advance our mission in power/IoT ecosystems.

Responsibilities- Collaborate with the business line to develop training materials and collateral
- Assist the field team in preparing product demonstrations
- Support customers from pre-sales qualification through PoC and post-sales implementation
- Present product overviews and technical demos, influencing customer architecture
- Support hardware/software evaluations and bring-up at customers
- Perform schematic and PCB layout reviews for customer hardware designs
Key requirements- Bachelor's degree in electrical/computer engineering
- 7+ years in a relevant field
- Willingness to travel 30% locally and 15% to distance locations
- Strong presentation, written communication and problem-solving skills
- Experience in high-speed physical layer circuitry and embedded systems hardware debugging
- Experience debugging EMC/EMI and PCB layout issues at the ECU level
- Familiarity with automotive communication protocols (Ethernet, etc.), automotive design principles and ARM Cortex M cores
