Overview In this role you lead ML/AI teams within Disney's Ad Platforms, shaping scalable, high-performance models and pipelines. You partner with product and engineering to translate requirements into actionable ML solutions, ensuring quality, maintainability, and responsible AI. You'll drive strategic ML direction, mentor diverse teams, and communicate progress to leadership, delivering impact across a global advertising platform. Responsibilities- Lead and mentor data scientists, ML/AI engineers, and managers to deliver scalable ML solutions
- Define strategic ML direction and collaborate with product/engineering stakeholders
- Promote design quality, clean architecture, and reusable components
- Oversee end to end ML workflow from data collection to deployment
- Foster adoption of best practices in model development, testing, and documentation
- Ensure responsible AI practices including fairness, explainability and privacy compliance
- Collaborate across global teams to align platform strategy and tooling
- Communicate strategies and results to leadership and cross functional teams
- Participate in on call rotations for ML/AI solutions
Key requirements- 10+ years of industry experience
- 5+ years in people management of senior ICs and managers
- Proven ability to translate business problems into scalable ML/GenAI solutions
- Production experience designing, building, and deploying scalable ML models and systems
- Experience deploying ML/GenAI at scale on cloud platforms with MLOps
- Advanced programming proficiency (Python, Java, or similar) and ML/DL frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch, JAX, Hugging Face)
- Experience building, fine tuning, evaluating, deploying LLM based systems (RAG, prompt engineering)
- Proven ability to lead global teams across organizational boundaries
