Overview In this role you will manage state/local and provincial tax compliance and advisory work across the business, ensuring accurate filings and tax risk management. You will guide internal and external stakeholders on tax implications of transactions, mergers, and international activities, while supporting audits and SOX-related processes. You'll lead tax projects, mentor junior staff, and help optimize tax positions in a multi-jurisdictional environment. This role combines technical tax expertise with cross-functional collaboration to sustain compliant, efficient tax operations.

Responsibilities- Prepare and file state/local/provincial sales/use tax returns and related filings
- Analyze tax implications of business proposals and strategic initiatives
- Oversee tax compliance for complex customer and service scenarios, ensuring proper documentation for exemptions
- Support international and non-U.S. transaction tax guidance
- Assist with tax aspects of mergers/acquisitions and due diligence
- Lead and mentor tax staff; review colleagues' work
- Manage tax audits and Sarbanes-Oxley compliance activities
- Develop knowledge of state/provincial tax laws and monitor changes
Key requirements- Bachelor in Business, Accounting, or Finance
- Masters in Taxation (preferred)
- 5+ years of work experience in business or finance
- CPA preferred
- Experience in sales/use tax; tax compliance software knowledge
- Strong communication and business acumen; collaborative problem-solving
