Overview In this role, you will lead electrical design for industrial facilities within the Industrial team, driving technically sound solutions and client value. You'll act as Engineer of Record, guide multi-disciplinary teams, and ensure project quality from concept through construction. You'll engage with clients, vendors, and review agencies to shape scope and deliverables, while managing budgets, schedules, and change. Responsibilities- Assist business development by reviewing RFPs, engaging with clients, and preparing scope and approach for proposals
- Serve as Engineer of Record for electrical systems and equipment design
- Provide technical direction and mentorship to project teams
- Coordinate with clients, contractors, equipment suppliers, consultants, and review agencies
- Lead multiple small-to-mid size projects or multiple teams on larger projects
- Oversee construction phase services: respond to RFIs, review shop drawings, coordinate equipment purchases, and perform site inspections
- Ensure budget, schedule, and change management compliance
- Write construction specifications and develop early release packages for equipment
- Maintain quality and constructability reviews of electrical deliverables
- Assist in developing training, standards, and new design automation tools
Key requirements- B.S. or M.S. in Electrical Engineering
- 10+ years of electrical design experience for manufacturing/industrial clients
- P.E. license or eligibility to obtain licensure in other states by reciprocity
- Experience in facility and infrastructure electrical design (power, lighting, grounding, security, data, control systems, fire alarm)
- Strong knowledge of power distribution equipment, protection, and control for large industrial projects
- Solid understanding of NEC and energy codes for large power equipment
- Experience leading multi-discipline projects and coordinating with team members
- Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills with direct client engagement
- Proficiency in REVIT for 3D modeling and construction use
- Proficiency in Bluebeam for drawing review and markups
- Experience with AGI-32, ElumTools, or Visual for lighting calculations
- Experience with power system analysis software for short circuit, load flow, motor starting, coordination, and arc flash analysis
