Overview In this role you help organizations solve architecture-scale challenges with AI, modernization of legacy systems, and the creation of new AI-native architectures. You will guide multi-domain solutions, mentor engineering teams, and advance a strategy to enable AI-paced software delivery without sacrificing quality. You work with world-class engineers, researchers, and sponsors to translate research into practical, scalable architectures. You shape the AI-native software engineering practice and contribute to the community through sharing experiences.
Responsibilities- Assess customer system challenges and recommend technical solutions
- Review existing systems and design modernization strategies
- Create novel architectures and reference architectures for customer challenges
- Coach engineering teams to achieve architecture-scale changes
- Architect and prototype systems and agentic workflows
- Identify opportunities to apply AI to diverse architecture challenges
- Share experiences and solutions with the technical community through publications and presentations
Key requirements- Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, or related discipline with 10+ years of experience; or MS with 8+ years; or PhD with 5+ years
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Department of War security clearance
- Willingness to travel up to 25% of the time
