Overview In this role, you will lead the IDaaS SRE group to scale a high-availability SaaS platform on AWS. You will build and own platform, tooling, and processes that improve reliability, velocity, and self-service for product teams. You will mentor engineers and drive DevOps maturity across infrastructure, CI/CD, and observability. You will work closely with architects to align with Okta's mission to secure identity at scale, delivering resilient and cost-efficient systems.

Responsibilities- Manage a team of SREs supporting the IDaaS platform
- Drive microservice journey, DevOps maturity, and workload reliability with architects and teams
- Develop tooling and self-service capabilities to accelerate SRE and product engineering velocity
- Lead, mentor, and grow a distributed team across platform, infrastructure, and shared services
- Perform engineering design evaluations and ensure projects meet constraints
- Improve SDLC processes for Cloud infrastructure as code, CI/CD pipelines, change and release management
- Manage service and business expectations and prioritize resource allocation
- Maintain knowledge of industry best practices and evolving technologies
Key requirements- 3+ years of technical leadership and people management
- Experience with Agile and DevOps at scale
- Extensive experience running large-scale infrastructure for a SaaS/Cloud in AWS (multi-Cloud a plus)
- Strong expertise in cloud-native architectures, Kubernetes, Terraform (IaC), and CI/CD
- Background in software development, PaaS, and automation
- Experience building and operating observability platforms (Grafana, Splunk, APM) in large-scale environments
- Excellent verbal/written communication and interpersonal skills
- Computer Science degree or related degree or equivalent experience
- Ability to access federal environments and provide US Person status documentation at hire
