Overview As Principal Scientist on the Nutrition Innovation team, you will drive a strategic research agenda to develop breakthrough canine/feline nutrition technologies and clinical claims for Hill's Pet Nutrition. You will integrate multi-omics data with clinical outcomes and consumer trends, guiding cross-functional research from concept to commercialization. Your leadership will steward research portfolios, budgets, and partnerships, shaping the future of pet health. This role offers impact through collaboration with Marketing, Clinical Studies, and Product Development in a mission-driven, innovation-focused environment.

Responsibilities- Lead the strategic research pipeline to identify and commercialize next-generation nutritional technologies
- Integrate genomic, metabolomic, and biochemical data with clinical outcomes, consumer insights, and veterinary trends
- Design, analyze, and communicate findings from internal and external studies to cross-functional partners
- Manage project portfolios, budgets, timelines, and deliverables across innovation streams
- Cultivate strategic external partnerships with researchers and clinicians to fill technology gaps
Key requirements- PhD in a relevant discipline
- 4+ post-PhD scientific research experience
- Expertise in scientific methodology, complex data analysis, and technical problem-solving in nutritional biochemistry
