Overview

As a Senior Manufacturing Engineer, you will optimize cost-efficient, reliable manufacturing processes for complex aerospace parts. You'll work within the Tolleson-based engineering team to define methods, sequences, and manufacturing plans for intricate products, ensuring quality and manufacturability. You'll lead continuous improvement and lean initiatives across high-impact areas, collaborating with suppliers and cross-functional teams. Your work shapes production readiness, process control, and documentation for manufacturing execution. This role offers impact on mission-critical aerospace programs and exposure to advanced CNC and assembly capabilities.

Responsibilities
  • Assess complex manufacturing processes through data, design knowledge, and supplier input; gather operator feedback.
  • Develop manufacturing methods by researching requirements, designing and testing techniques, and coordinating with suppliers; create work instructions.
  • Drive continuous improvement and lean principles on critical production areas; may lead special projects.
  • Present program status to customers and analyze failures with corrective plans.
  • Improve efficiency via workflow planning, equipment layout, and DFA plans; ensure process control across manufacturing and supplier base.
  • Design testing methods and validate process capabilities; establish standards for manufacturing requirements; conduct root-cause analyses.
  • Recommend process changes based on cost, schedules, and material considerations; support supplier-driven improvement.
  • Maintain knowledge through training, benchmarking, and industry engagement.
  • Ensure compliance with environmental, safety, and regulatory requirements; advise management on actions.
  • Analyze data to propose method/material changes with cost and quality impact; share knowledge across teams.
  • Collaborate on cross-functional or project teams; on-site presence at Tolleson, AZ five days a week.
Key requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering (or related field)
  • Minimum seven years of aerospace manufacturing engineering experience
  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing theories, lean principles, and cross-functional operations
  • Experience with aerospace products and continuous improvement
  • Proficiency with CAD/CAM or other computer-aided manufacturing systems
  • Ability to solve complex technical problems and coordinate across multiple teams
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and communicate with stakeholders
  • Willingness to travel to vendors or customers including overnight trips
  • U.S. export control awareness; status as a U.S. Person or applicable authorization
