Overview In this role you will lead BRINC's finance operations, ensuring accurate GAAP reporting and compliance as the company scales. You will own day-to-day accounting, close processes, and tax compliance while partnering with cross-functional teams to enable strategic decisions. You will drive audit readiness for the company's first financial statement audit and help shape scalable accounting processes. Responsibilities- Oversee day-to-day accounting operations (GL, payroll, revenue recognition under ASC 606 for subscriptions, hardware, and services)
- Lead audit readiness and coordinate the first financial statement audit, including work papers and auditor requests
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual GAAP financial statements
- Manage month-end and year-end close, including journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations
- Oversee tax compliance (federal, state, local, sales, payroll) and coordinate with external advisors for filings
- Drive process improvements and efficiency within the finance function
- Assist in budgeting and forecasting to support strategic planning
- Support cross-functional teams on ad hoc projects and inventory/cost accounting (WIP, finished goods, COGS)
- Develop and maintain accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls for a high-growth org
- Evaluate and implement scalable accounting systems and automation, including future ERP environment
Key requirements- Bachelor in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 7+ years of progressive accounting experience
- Experience in a fast-paced startup with manufacturing operations
- Strong knowledge of US GAAP and financial reporting
- Experience managing an audit process with external auditors
- Hands-on experience implementing financial systems (AR/AP tools or ERP)
- Ability to leverage AI tools and automated workflows for close and reporting
- Expert in accounting software (QuickBooks Online, NetSuite) and Excel/Google Sheets
- Proficiency in SaaS subscription management/AR software
