Overview In this role you will lead MEPS infrastructure teams delivering electrical, mechanical, and structural design for water and wastewater projects, while engaging with clients to ensure solutions meet their needs. You'll oversee cross-disciplinary design efforts, pursue business development, and help advance renewable energy integration to support decarbonization goals. You will work with a sizable Raleigh-based electrical team and collaborate on projects across multiple states.
Responsibilities- Lead electrical, mechanical, and structural design teams on water/wastewater projects
- Manage planning, design, and construction phases and coordinate with other disciplines
- Schedule and allocate personnel with Design Discipline Managers
- Communicate project expectations to team and clients
- Prepare design proposals and support business development
- Apply earned value and quality management to plans, schedules, and budgets
- Ensure deliverables are coordinated across disciplines and consultants
- Support MEPS Infrastructure growth through conferences and professional activities
Key requirements- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience
- 8+ years of progressive design and project management experience
- Minimum 5+ years in the water/wastewater market
- Professional Engineer (P.E.) in Florida, North Carolina, or Virginia, or eligibility for reciprocity within 90 days of start
- Experience coordinating engineering work and interfacing with multiple disciplines
- Experience interfacing with clients
- Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal skills
- Good understanding of electrical, mechanical, and process control systems, codes, and water/wastewater operations
