Overview As a Reliability Engineer within Space and Airborne Systems, you will drive reliability through FRACAS, RCCA, and sustainment activities. You will lead Failure Review Boards and cross functional investigations to resolve production and supplier issues, translating findings into actionable improvements. The role blends avionics manufacturing insights with analytical risk assessment to impact mission-critical systems. You will collaborate across Production, Engineering, and other teams to ensure robust reliability in a high stakes aerospace context.
Responsibilities- Lead FRB and RCCA investigations
- Perform failure analysis and trend monitoring on production tests
- Generate FRACAS reports and monitor sustainment activities
- Collaborate with Production, Engineering and suppliers to resolve issues
- Present findings to diverse audiences and inform decisions
- Interpret data to provide actionable recommendations
- Ensure ability to obtain US Government clearance
Key requirements- Bachelor's Degree and minimum 4 years of relevant experience or Graduate Degree and minimum 2 years of related experience or 8 years of related experience in lieu of a degree
- Experience in avionics manufacturing or high reliability manufacturing
- Familiarity with Avionics PCBs, fiber optic, and mechanical assembly manufacturing
- Strong failure analysis, RCCA, and FRACAS skills
- Ability to interpret and present findings to varied audiences
- Ability to monitor production test results and perform statistical trend analysis
- Capacity to work on multiple concurrent projects with overlapping deadlines
