Overview

As a Toxic Tort Trial Attorney, you will defend sophisticated clients in talc, silica, asbestos, and related toxic tort matters, with substantial opportunities for trial work. You will join a collaborative San Francisco team and handle cases from intake to trial, contributing to a culture that emphasizes teamwork, client service, and professional growth. You will shape trial strategy, manage client expectations, and develop evidence for litigation in a dynamic environment. Responsibilities
  • Prepare talc, silica, asbestos, and related toxic tort matters for trial with the litigation team
  • Take and defend key fact and expert witness depositions and serve as first chair for pretrial and trial appearances
  • Collaborate with attorneys, team members, and partners on case strategy and legal projects
  • Provide regular status reports and counsel to clients on case developments
  • Support trial strategy discussions and develop trial exhibits and evidence
  • Deliver high-level client service by managing expectations and achieving strong outcomes
Key requirements
  • JD from an ABA accredited law school
  • Admitted to practice in California
  • 8+ years of defense litigation experience (preferred)
  • Demonstrated trial experience in toxic tort, personal injury, general liability, or related cases
  • Experience appearing in court for motions, hearings, depositions, and trials
  • Experience drafting discovery and pretrial motions
  • Experience cross-examining plaintiffs and other witnesses (preferred)
