Overview

As an Electrical Professional Engineer, you will lead the electrical design of distribution systems for water and wastewater facilities and coordinate multi-disciplinary teams. You'll generate and review electrical drawings, approve vendor submittals, and contribute to project documents using Revit, AutoCAD, MicroStation, and AGI32. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver sustainable, reliable infrastructure projects and pursue new business opportunities. This role offers impact across local and remote projects, with a focus on hands-on design, code compliance, and innovative lighting and electrical solutions. You'll work in a hybrid environment to drive meaningful outcomes

Responsibilities
  • lead design and review of electrical distribution systems for water and wastewater facilities
  • generate and review electrical equipment drawings and specifications; approve vendor submittals
  • coordinate interdisciplinary work across project teams and locations
  • contribute to business opportunities and client engagement
  • perform lighting design and related electrical tasks for buildings and infrastructure
  • produce project drawings using Revit, AutoCAD, and MicroStation
  • utilize AGI32 and Visual software for design analysis
Key requirements
  • Bachelor in Electrical Engineering
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license with ability to license in multiple states
  • 5 years of experience in professional electrical design, preferably for water projects
  • low and medium voltage power distribution experience
  • strong knowledge of NEC and NFPA requirements
  • hands-on design proficiency with electrical codes, standards, and vendor equipment options
  • experience with AGI32
  • experience with BIM/CAD programs: MicroStation, AECOSim, AutoCAD, Revit
  • strong oral and written communication skills for multi-discipline teams
