Overview In this role you will support the company's SOX program and internal audit activities, conducting risk assessments, documenting processes, and testing controls to ensure governance and compliance. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, external auditors, and process owners to strengthen financial controls. The position offers exposure to GAAP, COSO, and regulatory standards within a Fortune 500 environment. You will contribute to the accuracy and reliability of financial reporting and control improvements.
Compensation / Benefits Responsibilities- Perform risk assessments and document financial processes for the SOX program
- Execute tests of controls and evaluate control effectiveness
- Document and report audit results and ensure compliance with policies
- Collaborate with process owners to document key controls and process changes
- Prepare clear audit work papers and maintain up-to-date SOX knowledge
- Plan and execute internal audit and SOX engagements with minimal supervision
- Identify control deficiencies and recommend corrective actions
- Support special projects around internal control and process improvements
Key requirements- Bachelor in accounting or finance
- CPA/CIA or pursuing CPA/CIA preferred
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- 1-3 years of progressive external and/or internal audit experience
- Comprehensive understanding of GAAP, PCAOB standards, SOX, COSO, SEC regulations
- Willingness to travel 10-15%
