Overview In this role you support underwriting by providing expert risk knowledge on hazards, controls, and management for large, complex accounts. You will work closely with underwriting, risk control, claims, and brokers to assess and improve risk profiles across multiple lines. You'll deliver technically detailed risk assessments and impactful recommendations that drive loss control and profitability. The role offers opportunities to lead higher-level projects and contribute to Travelers' risk control capabilities at scale.

Responsibilities- Onsite field presence and client engagements to assess risk and loss potential
- Partner with Underwriting to select, retain, and grow a profitable book of business
- Develop and maintain relationships with Underwriting, Claims, Risk Control Specialists, and Brokers
- Complete risk assessments for high-complexity accounts (manufacturing, large warehouses, diverse exposures)
- Write detailed risk reports with clear recommendations
- Identify uncontrolled exposures and advise on corrective actions
- Provide loss control solutions leveraging Travelers resources
- Stay current with regulatory changes and technical knowledge
- Support higher-level project work impacting the Risk Control organization
Key requirements- Seven years of experience in safety, risk control/management or related fields
- Valid driver's license
- Certification prerequisites or ability to obtain state-specific certifications (ASP, CSP, ARM, CFPS)
