Overview In this role you will lead strategic indirect procurement to support Bioventus locations, with a focus on IT/software sourcing and contracting. You'll partner with internal teams and external suppliers to optimize cost, quality, and delivery while ensuring compliance and ethical standards. You will drive category strategies, supplier performance, and standardized processes to enable the company to deliver patient-focused outcomes. The position offers cross-functional collaboration, global scope, and opportunities to influence procurement excellence.
Responsibilities- Develop and implement category strategies; define requirements and negotiate terms
- Negotiate costs, select vendors, review contracts, and build supplier relationships
- Execute and support purchasing policies and procedures
- Meet with internal partners to maintain best-in-class category strategies for cost, quality, and delivery
- Maintain deep knowledge of assigned categories and develop supplier KPIs
- Lead standardized sourcing, supplier approval, and contracting processes; secure favorable TCO
- Serve as a procurement contact for policy, process, training, and support; address issues proactively
- Ensure compliance with Code of Compliance and internal controls; uphold ethical standards
- Travel up to 20-25% for vendor site visits
- Perform other duties as assigned
Key requirements- 5+ years of indirect procurement experience
- Bachelor's Degree; CPM certification preferred
- Strong SAP experience
- IT/Software sourcing and contracting experience preferred
- Strong PC skills (Microsoft Office: PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Analytical and negotiating skills; ability to work in a fast-paced environment and build partnerships
