Overview

In this role, you will contribute to building and operating AML analytics within the FCC Data, Systems and Innovation team. You'll work with cross-divisional partners to capture requirements, source data, and implement ML/AI-enabled AML models and surveillance enhancements. You will validate data, document artifacts for compliance and audit, and draft investigations reports. You help improve the efficiency and effectiveness of transaction monitoring, supporting the firm's enterprise AML program.

Responsibilities
  • Capture and document business requirements and functional specs
  • Source and analyze data; define data requirements
  • Develop and implement AML analytics
  • Integrate ML/AI into AML models
  • Plan and execute data and surveillance validation
  • Conduct investigative and testing reviews of FCC controls
  • Draft investigative and testing reports with findings and corrective actions
  • Apply statistical measures and ML algorithms to improve AML surveillance
  • Document project artifacts for compliance testing, model validation, and audits
Key requirements
  • 3-5 years in an analytical role within Financial Crimes Compliance (preferably Global Transaction Banking, Corporate Cash Management, or Payments)
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering/technology with relevant work experience
  • Understanding of AML and terrorist financing trends and typologies
  • Experience with AML transaction monitoring technology
  • Experience with AML monitoring products such as Actimize and Mantas
  • Hands-on experience developing, tuning, and validating ML models (e.g., XGBoost, Random Forest, Clustering)
  • Strong knowledge of databases, SQL, and querying large data sets
  • Experience with Data Lake, Data Bricks, Tableau, Excel or similar data analytics/visualization tools
  • Ability to map data across platforms and manage projects independently
