Responsibilities- Manage client engagements including financial statements, tax returns, and work papers to ensure on-time delivery and quality
- Review complex federal, multi-state, international returns for various entity types
- Serve as trusted advisor to clients, identifying issues and proposing solutions
- Provide guidance on tax planning opportunities and growth strategies for clients
- Research tax issues and communicate recommendations to clients
- Mentor, coach, and supervise staff; support team development
- Engage in business development and client relationship management activities
- Contribute to strategic planning and departmental development led by principals
- Ensure adherence to tax and engagement quality control standards
Key requirements- 8+ years of recent public accounting tax experience
- Active CPA, EA, or equivalent certification
- Experience in preparing/reviewing complex tax returns for individuals, partnerships, corporations, and trusts
- Ability to manage all aspects of client engagements and supervise staff
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Proficiency with tax software and MS Office suite (Excel, Word)
- Knowledge of multi-state and international tax issues; retirement planning a plus
