Overview In this role you will design and oversee electrical systems for mission-critical data center projects. You will advise clients on electrical solutions that meet safety codes and monitor field installations for compliance. You will help develop design criteria for protective devices, coordination, and distribution, while reviewing equipment designs and specifications. You will contribute to concept studies and ensure adherence to standards, collaborating with cross-functional teams to shape high-tech facilities.
Responsibilities- Design electrical systems/equipment to create a safe, productive workplace
- Advise clients on electrical system options and safety code compliance
- Monitor installation to ensure design and safety conformity
- Develop design criteria for protective device coordination, relay applications, MV transformers, switchgear, and distribution
- Review electrical designs and equipment specifications for purchases or fabrication
- Develop concept studies and designs; enforce standards and practices
Key requirements- ABET-accredited degree in Electrical Engineering or related field with 3 years of electrical engineering experience (consulting preferred)
- Alternatively, FE exam completed with ABET-accredited degree and 3 years of experience
- Alternatively, Master in Electrical Engineering with 2 years of experience
- Strong knowledge of standard engineering techniques and procedures
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Analytical, methodical, and problem-solving capabilities
- Proficient in Microsoft Office; strong AutoCAD and MicroStation skills; experience with 2D/3D rendering and other analysis tools
- Strong attention to detail, teamwork, organization, and facilitation
- Engineering role in travel-intensive environment (up to 25%)
