Overview As a Research Associate in Health Service Research, you will work within established investigator programs to advance policy-relevant research that improves patient care and outcomes. You will lead projects independently, designing and testing strategies in health services research and epidemiology. The role emphasizes rigorous scientific contributions, including publications, and opportunities to interact with cross-disciplinary teams. Responsibilities- Lead, design and execute health service research projects and epidemiology studies
- Develop and test strategies to transform patient care and outcomes
- Contribute to scientific writing and dissemination of findings
- Collaborate with investigators to advance health policy research
- Provide leadership support and training within an established program
- Engage in activities related to potential patient/research subject contact under appropriate approvals
Key requirements- Strong expertise in data structures and algorithms
- Proficiency in Python with Pandas and Scikit-learn
- Linux shell scripting
- DBMS experience (MySQL, Redis)
- TensorFlow or PyTorch (preferred)
- Docker
- Knowledge of stochastic processes and statistical learning/machine learning (deep learning)
- Google Cloud Platform (GCP) proficiency a plus
- Track record of publications/scientific writing
- Strong English proficiency, including scientific manuscript writing
