As Senior Tax Accountant, you will lead complex federal, state, and local tax work for high-net-worth clients, ensuring accurate tax reporting and timely deliverables. You will collaborate with Wealth Advisors, Trust Officers, and Operations to provide coordinated client service and strategic tax planning. This role blends advisory input with compliance, handling audits, notices, and evolving tax laws to protect client wealth. Responsibilities
  • Prepare and review complex federal, state, and local tax returns (1040, 709, 1065, 990-PF, 1041)
  • Review returns and workpapers for technical accuracy and compliance with procedures
  • Manage tax compliance for a portfolio of high-net-worth clients, coordinating information and inquiries
  • Conduct tax research and provide well-supported recommendations to management and clients
  • Coordinate engagement workflows and monitor filing deadlines for timely deliverables
  • Assist with estimated tax payments and extensions
  • Collaborate with Wealth Advisors, Trust Officers, and Operations to ensure accurate reporting
  • Participate in client meetings and explain tax matters and planning recommendations
  • Assist with tax notices, audits, and inquiries
  • Stay current with tax law changes and assess impact on the firm and clients
Key requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting
  • Master's degree in Taxation preferred
  • 8-12 years of experience in public accounting, private client tax, fiduciary tax, or wealth management tax services
  • CPA or EA designation preferred; CFP a plus
  • Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local tax laws and forms (1040, 709, 1065, 990-PF, 1041)
  • Experience with CCH Axcess Tax strongly preferred; familiarity with CCH Scan, Bloomberg Tax/BNA Tax Planner, CCH AnswerConnect, or Thomson Reuters ONESOURCE Trust Tax a plus
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and in a team in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Ability to work in Radnor, PA office three days per week
