Overview In this role you partner with senior leaders to align people strategies with business priorities in a fast-growing, mission-driven organization. You shape organizational effectiveness, workforce planning, and leadership development to fuel growth and high performance. You oversee employee relations at a global scale, ensuring compliant, proactive solutions and a positive employee experience. You will lead a small ER team, collaborate with Legal and cross-functional partners, and influence culture and change across Guardant Health.
Responsibilities- Serve as primary People Partner to executive leaders across Business Development, Finance, Legal, and Public Affairs
- Develop and execute people strategies aligned with business objectives and growth
- Provide counsel on organizational effectiveness, change management, team design, and talent optimization
- Translate business strategies into actionable workforce plans with Talent Acquisition
- Leverage workforce analytics to identify trends and propose data-driven solutions
- Lead talent reviews, workforce planning, and performance management with COEs
- Own workforce planning rhythm for supported functions and translate plans into recruiting strategies
- Drive strategic workforce planning, talent forecasting, and organizational planning
- Partner with leaders to identify critical talent needs and develop retention and development strategies
- Collaborate with Talent Acquisition and Organization Effectiveness to build robust pipelines
- Use Organization Effectiveness frameworks to foster accountability and high performance
- Lead organizational change initiatives including transformations, acquisitions, and integrations
- Design and implement change management strategies to improve adoption and outcomes
- Promote culture, engagement, and leadership effectiveness across the organization
- Mentor and develop ER and HR team members
- Foster cross-functional relationships and uphold Guardant's values across leadership
- Partner with Legal, Compliance, and WF Analytics to assess risk and inform decisions
Key requirements- Experience supporting C-level leadership and executive functions
- Proven success leading global employee relations programs and proactive risk management
- Expertise in enterprise workforce planning processes and aligning investments with business goals
- Track record accelerating business growth through people strategies
- Experience leading organizational design, restructuring, and leadership effectiveness initiatives
- Strong knowledge of employment law, HR compliance, and ER leading practices
- 12+ years of progressive HR experience with HRBP leadership for senior executives/C-suite
- Ability to travel 15% to support global ER initiatives and leadership meetings
