Overview In this role you support routine laboratory procedures across assays, cell/tissue culture, and animal studies to advance research goals. You monitor results, report anomalies, and propose modifications. You collect and summarize data, assist with data analysis and visualization, and help maintain equipment and supplies. You present findings at meetings and contribute to manuscript preparation under supervision, with some independent work as approved. You contribute to patient-centered research at Mayo Clinic, leveraging lab work to drive meaningful outcomes.

Responsibilities- Set up and perform routine lab procedures (assays, cell/tissue culture, animal studies)
- Monitor results and report unusual outcomes, suggesting modifications
- Collect, enter, and summarize data; assist in data organization and analysis
- Maintain lab equipment and supplies
- Perform basic statistical data analysis and prepare tables/charts/graphs
- Present findings at research meetings and assist in manuscript writing
- Work under supervision with potential for independent tasks as discussed with PI
Key requirements- Bachelor's degree in biology, chemistry, or other relevant science, or an associates degree with 6 years of relevant lab experience
- Solid understanding of lab techniques, equipment, and safety
- Ability to organize and carry out lab techniques independently and in a team
- Experience with basic data analysis
