Overview In this role you will conduct end-to-end investigations of external financial crimes across lines of business, focusing on fraud, money laundering, and terrorist financing. You will liaise with law enforcement and produce timely SARs, while upholding quality metrics and regulatory requirements. You will collaborate with GFC Management and front-line units to resolve investigations and assess operational or compliance risks. You will work with diverse data sources and external research tools to determine client activity patterns. This role offers meaningful impact through risk identification and enforcement collaboration within a large financial institution.
Responsibilities- Oversee investigations to meet closure and quality targets
- Complete Suspicious Activity Reports (SAR) promptly and accurately
- Report investigation findings to senior stakeholders and coordinate with GFC Management and FLU
- Perform quality control, training, and guidance activities in an investigative support capacity
- Manage a large case inventory, prioritizing by risk and SLA adherence
- Research and analyze transaction data, customer information, public records, and external sources to assess normalcy of activity
- Communicate with internal stakeholders and law enforcement to obtain information and documentation
- Recommend follow-up actions and potential account closure for high-risk customers
Key requirements- Minimum of five years of relevant experience
- 3 years' experience with 1 year in AML, Risk, or Compliance and/or knowledge of financial crimes typologies
- BSA knowledge relative to AML
