Overview In this Regional Safety Manager role, you lead safety across Ameresco's multi-state energy projects, ensuring compliant, safe operations and continuous program improvement. You partner with O&M, Construction, Solar, BESS, EPC/Project Delivery, and other units to uphold safety standards and develop site-specific plans. The role involves broad travel to support safety operations and a focus on building a strong safety culture with measurable outcomes.

Responsibilities- Oversee site-specific safety plans and activity hazard analyses for assigned projects
- Ensure compliance with safety policies and adopted standards
- Develop and implement long-term and short-term safety, health, and environmental programs
- Ensure PPE meets OSHA requirements and employees are trained
- Conduct safety audits and ensure occupational health is not compromised
- Investigate incidents, perform root-cause analysis, and implement corrective actions
- Review subcontractor safety qualifications and attend pre-construction meetings
- Collaborate with project teams to create safety solutions
- Foster and maintain a positive safety culture for project personnel
- Maintain safety certifications required by contracts
- Conduct monthly safety meetings for Project Staff
- Travel up to 75% to support safety operations
- Perform other duties as required
Key requirements- Bachelor's degree in occupational safety & health engineering or related field or equivalent experience
- Minimum of seven (7) years of progressive EHS experience in construction/renewable energy/utility sectors
- Experience supporting utility-scale or commercial solar PV construction, BESS, or solar O&M
