Advisor - Computational Statistician

Overview

In this role you apply advanced statistics to support the development of medicines and improve patient outcomes. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to design analyses, execute statistical plans, and communicate results for regulatory submissions and publications. You'll lead statistical methods selection, ensure data quality, and mentor peers while staying current with methodological advances. This position offers hands-on impact in a global biotech environment and opportunities to influence key regulatory and scientific decisions.

Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with statisticians and study personnel to contribute to statistical analysis plans and report results
  • Select statistical methods for data analysis, write sections of the analysis plan, and perform analyses
  • Coordinate with data management to implement data quality assurance plans
  • Maintain proficiency in SAS programming and statistical methods and apply new methods as needed
  • Justify chosen methods and implement approved analysis plans
  • Peer-review work products from statistical colleagues
  • Utilize current tools and technologies for clinical trial analysis
  • Contribute to communication of study results via regulatory submissions and manuscripts, and engage with key customers
Key requirements
  • Master's degree in Statistics, Biostatistics, or MSPH with concentration in Statistics or Biostatistics
  • 7+ years of statistical analysis/programming experience
  • Proficiency in SAS and R; familiarity with Spotfire is a plus
  • Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills
  • Solid understanding of statistics and statistical software; capability for self-management and delivering on multiple deliverables
