Responsibilities- Lead cost management services across large-scale data center projects from planning through closeout
- Serve as primary client contact for commercial and cost management matters, fostering stakeholder relationships
- Develop and manage budgets, forecasts, cost reports, cash flow analyses, and performance metrics
- Provide strategic cost advice to support informed project decisions
- Establish and maintain project controls, reporting processes, and governance across multiple workstreams
- Lead quantity surveying, cost control, estimating, and change management throughout the lifecycle
- Oversee evaluation and negotiation of change orders, claims, and commercial risk events
- Monitor risks and opportunities, implementing mitigation strategies
- Support procurement, contracting, and vendor selection with guidance on commercial matters
- Coordinate with clients, contractors, consultants, and project teams for delivery
- Review cost reporting, payments, invoices, and reconciliations
- Support schedule-related cost impacts and forecasting to align with objectives
- Drive consistency of cost management and project controls best practices
- Lead and mentor cost management professionals and oversee staffing and performance
- Prepare commercial updates and executive presentations
- Identify process improvements to enhance controls and reporting
- Support business development, client relationships, and proposals
- Share lessons learned and promote Turner & Townsend values
- SOX control responsibilities may apply where relevant
Key requirements- 8+ years in cost management, quantity surveying, project controls, or commercial management in construction
- Experience leading cost management on large-scale data center or complex capital programs
- Proven ability to manage budgets, forecasting, cost reporting, cash flow, and change management
- Strong understanding of project controls, contract administration, procurement, and governance
- Experience in construction consultancy or professional services preferred
- Ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and manage client relationships
- Experience supporting programs from planning through closeout
- Knowledge of cost management and project controls systems; Primavera P6/Oracle Unifier or similar is preferred
- RICS or equivalent accreditation preferred
- Excellent analytical, communication, presentation, and organizational skills
- Ability to influence senior stakeholders to achieve project outcomes
