Overview In this role you will lead permitting for oil & gas midstream projects and energy transition initiatives. You'll work within a cross-functional permitting team to secure regulatory approvals and coordinate with agencies, clients, and stakeholders. You'll translate complex regulatory requirements into effective project plans while upholding health, safety, and environmental standards. Responsibilities- Provide technical leadership and project management for oil & gas midstream permitting projects and energy transition initiatives across the US
- Manage permit applications and agency coordination related to Threatened and Endangered Species, Sections 404/10, Coastal Zone Management Act, and Section 106 Cultural Resources
- Develop and maintain positive client relationships and support proposal development
- Create and review technical documents supporting regulatory submissions
- Support implementation of Health, Safety and Environment policies and coordinate with HSE professionals
- Collaborate with Environmental and Regulatory Specialists to ensure consistency in project execution
- Work within a broader midstream & energy permitting team with opportunities to support multiple projects and offices
- Balance heavy workloads under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
Key requirements- Experience managing pipeline projects with emphasis on large natural gas or liquids pipelines
- FERC and NEPA knowledge and process experience, including mitigation and implementation
- Experience managing FERC-regulated projects (7(b)/7(c), prior notice/blanket authorizations)
- Experience in resource report development for FERC-regulated projects
- Strong oral and written communication and client-focused approach
- Ability to foster and grow client relationships
- Understanding of HSSE policies and client-specific training
- Project and task management experience with attention to detail
- Valid driver's license and good driving record
- Bachelor's or higher in Environmental Science or related field; 7+ years relevant experience; 5+ years direct experience preparing FERC permit applications
- Willingness to work in field conditions and travel as needed
