Associate Director, Neurology Market Insights

Overview

In this role you drive the US Neurology market strategy by planning and executing pre- and post-launch research and competitive intelligence for the first Neurology launch. You partner across Strategy, Sales, Medical, Market Access, Finance and Analytics to shape launch plans and KPIs. Based in the Boston area, you will lead insights programs that inform product plans, expectations, and growth. You will be a central contributor to Sevasemten's launch readiness and ongoing market understanding.

Responsibilities
  • Provide market and customer insights to guide launch readiness and execution
  • Lead primary and secondary market research for Sevasemten (e.g., patient journey, demand, messaging, tracking)
  • Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to shape strategies and tactics for launch objectives
  • Develop and track launch KPIs and diagnostic indicators to guide execution and growth
  • Lead competitive intelligence in BMD and DMD
  • Present recommendations and status updates to the Sevasemten launch team
  • Manage vendors (market research, consulting, CI agency, data providers) for project delivery
  • Coordinate with brand team/agency and ensure research outputs align with analytics and forecasting
  • Lead pre- and post-launch situation assessments for Sevasemten
Key requirements
  • Minimum 7+ years in market research, competitive intelligence, management consulting, or decision support in biopharma
  • Strong critical thinking with ability to balance strategic direction and tactical results
  • Strong quantitative and qualitative analytical skills; comfort with ambiguity
  • Expertise in primary qualitative and quantitative market research techniques
  • Launch planning experience in rare diseases and/or neurology is a plus
  • Persuasive written and verbal communication; ability to lead and influence
  • Effective resource/vendor management; delivers on-time, on-budget results
  • Flexible, innovative, adaptable; thrives in fast-paced environments
  • Travel and location expectations: Boston-area preferred, 15% travel
