Overview

In this Electrical Engineer role, you will research, design, test, and oversee electrical systems for commercial, industrial, military, or scientific applications. You will contribute to solutions across projects with varying complexity and may mentor junior staff. The position emphasizes high-voltage power and facilities electrical distribution within a broader engineering and construction context. You will operate within a security-conscious environment, aligning with industry standards and codes to ensure safe, compliant, and reliable systems.

Responsibilities
  • Research, design, develop, test or supervise electrical equipment, components, or systems
  • Apply electrical theory and materials properties to solve moderately complex problems
  • Work independently with some guidance and mentor junior staff
  • Manage and review commercial facility electrical design and construction projects
  • Evaluate conditions and draft engineering memos aligned with codes and best practices
  • Coordinate with facilities systems, including SCADA, fire protection, and emergency power systems
  • Review design documentation to identify deficiencies and noncompliance while ensuring alignment with design intent
Key requirements
  • 10+ years of experience in the electrical field
  • 5+ years of experience with high voltage power
  • Experience with facilities electrical power systems (low, medium, high voltage) and related systems
  • Experience with SCADA, short circuit and protective device coordination
  • Ability to manage commercial facility electrical design and construction projects
  • Ability to obtain TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph
  • HS diploma or GED
  • Completion of the Electrical Mater Tradesman Exam
  • Experience evaluating conditions and drafting memos for industry-standard practices and codes
