Overview

In this Reserving Actuary role, you partner with cross-functional teams to deepen understanding of diverse markets in the North America Insurance Business Group. You apply market-leading analytics to assess reserve indications, forecast trends, and ensure reserve adequacy across varied commercial lines. You will deliver forward-looking insights to senior leadership and support global reserving initiatives. This role emphasizes collaboration, data-driven decision making, and shaping strategic actuarial initiatives that influence resource allocation and risk coverage.

Responsibilities
  • Support development of reserve indications and retrospective reviews of reserve performance
  • Conduct deep-dive analytics to inform forward-looking recommendations for senior leadership
  • Build relationships with finance and underwriting as a consultative business partner
  • Support strategic actuarial initiatives through insightful business intelligence
  • Prepare actuarial reports and exhibits to focus resources on emerging risk areas
  • Collaborate with actuarial and other financial teams globally
  • Stay updated on trends and developments in assigned functional areas
Key requirements
  • Actuarial work experience in property and casualty insurance or reinsurance
  • FCAS or seasoned ACAS
  • Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics, Economics, Statistics, or related field
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for diverse clients
  • Strong time management and ability to handle multiple tasks
  • Excellent interpersonal skills for collaborative work environment
  • Robust analytical and research skills with proficiency in business productivity software
  • Outstanding Excel and Microsoft Office skills for data work and presentations
  • Experience with reserving methods and data modeling for risk management
  • Ability to hit the ground running while proactively seeking business knowledge
