Overview In this role you will deliver environmental engineering and A-E services to federal and military programs, supporting Army and other agencies with environmental studies, designs, and compliance efforts. You will work on a range of sites, from hazardous and radiological to regulatory-driven investigations, NEPA analyses, and sustainability initiatives. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to advance environmental solutions within strict regulations and timelines. This is a mission-driven, impact-oriented opportunity tied to national defense and public safety.
Responsibilities- Perform environmental studies and designs under RCRA, CERCLA, SARA, TSCA, CWA and related regulations
- Conduct site investigations, remedial investigations/feasibility studies, and environmental reports
- Prepare NEPA analyses and other environmental documentation
- Carry out archaeological, biological, wetlands, groundwater modeling, and contamination assessments
- Coordinate regulatory agency interactions and community relations; provide construction-phase services and QC checks
- Produce plans, specifications, and value/sustainability screenings; evaluate renewable energy sources
- Conduct environmental sampling (soil, water, sediment), data quality objectives, QA/QC
- Estimate costs and support hazardous, radioactive, and sustainable remediation projects
- Support munitions-related assessments (preliminary assessments, site inspections, RI/FS) and OSHA-compliant health/safety practices
- Travel to sites for meetings, site visits, and training as required
- Maintain professional engineering registration and comply with ethical standards
Key requirements- Consecutive employment in a similar role within the past five years
- Bachelor's degree in environmental or related engineering field; PE registration required
- 8+ years of experience; professional engineering registration required
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and related tools; excellent communication skills
- US citizenship; ability to travel; security/access requirements
- Experience with environmental regulatory programs and federal/state/local compliance
