Overview In this role you help shape messaging and brand presence for a Savannah River Site engagement, delivering integrated public affairs and multimedia communications. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop campaigns, newsletters, websites, and stakeholder materials that inform and engage diverse audiences. You will apply branding guidelines while proposing creative, effective channels to reach internal and external audiences. This position offers meaningful impact through strategic communications in a regulated, high-stakes environment.
Responsibilities- Develop and implement internal and external communications plans and campaigns
- Create content for newsletters, brochures, reports, and presentations
- Design and edit multimedia materials (photos, videos, layouts) and assist with layout and publication
- Interview stakeholders and verify information for stories and communications
- Maintain branding guidelines and editorial policy; produce materials for dissemination across channels
- Coordinate production and distribution of communications collateral
- Support events and represent the department at internal/external activities
- Monitor employee feedback and contribute to executive communications to drive engagement
Key requirements- Bachelors of Arts/Science in Journalism or Communications or related discipline with 2+ years experience
- U.S. citizen (per security requirements)
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Proficient with Adobe Creative Cloud (Dreamweaver, InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Encoder, Lightroom, Premiere)
- Proficient with Microsoft 365 (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, Teams)
- Experience with HTML/CSS and website building
- Ability to interview and develop stories, design ads, and produce multimedia content
- Team player with photography/videography skills and video editing
- Willingness to travel occasionally and to obtain required security clearances
